Book Study

A book study is an effective form of professional learning because new learning can be immediately applied in the home, or classroom. Here at Lost Sparrows, we have found great joy and learning in the books and materials we have read over the years.

In our new book study, participants will be involved in multiple sessions over 3 weeks, where there will be continuous discussion around relevant topics introduced in the book. This book study should help anyone that works with children to better understand behaviors, and develop specific strategies for improving our relationships.

We are very excited to be able to offer this book study this fall. For attendees of our conference, free copies of Bryan Post’s book are available at the conference while supplies last. For anyone joining us that did not attend the conference, you can order a copy of From Fear to Love.

We will have three virtual meetings over Zoom in November. The dates for each meeting are listed below.

  • November 7 @ 7:00 pm ET
  • November 14 @ 7:00 pm ET
  • November 21 @ 7:00 pm ET

It may be possible to get continuing education credits, or training hours, from your licensing agency or employer for the book study.

About the book

Bryan Post speaks to parents about the challenges they face when dealing with behaviors that are often present for adopted, foster and many diagnosed (ADD, RAD, ODD, Autism Spectrum) children. He helps parents and professionals with a radical new understanding of the impact of early life trauma and the impact of interruptions in the attachment process. In his compassion for parents and children, he offers hope and solutions for the challenges families face. Many parents of adopted children express their fear not only for their child’s present behaviors, but for what will become of them in the future. Bryan’s straightforward, truly love based, family-centered, clear-cut approach has created peace and healing for hundreds of families; families who once operated in fear are now experiencing love.
